Personalised Caricatures: Digital art and prints by Tasmanian based artist Vince Steele. All prices are in Australian dollars and payable via Paypal. To organise a personal digital caricature portrait for yourself or for a special someone, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Drawing Costs:All caricature portraits start with a base price depending on how many people are to be included in the drawing. All prices listed are for non-commercial and non-promotional usage only. If your image is to be used for commercial and/or promotional purposes, including using it as a YouTube channel likeness, then you will need to take the calculated base price, depending on how many people are to be included in the image, and times it by a factor of four. Under Australian law, copyright is retained by the artist on all work provided. If you pay for a non-commmercial, non-promotional image and later decide to use it for commercial and/or promotional purposes then you will need to pay the extra balance required to cover the full costs of the professional license in order to legally use the artwork for such purposes. The price for non-commercial and non-promotional artwork is as follows:
- 1 Person Caricature Portrait
Starting from $300* AUD
- 2 or More Person Caricature Portrait
Starting from $500* AUD for the first two people (inclusive), plus an additional $150* AUD each for any additional people to be included in the drawing
- Famous faces
Including famous people in your caricature portrait counts as having additional people, so don't forget to count their heads when calculating the price of your drawing.
- Background image, scenery and props
The background image, scenery and any props added to the drawing are already covered in the original starting price. If you want a portrait of your grandmother sitting on top of a dragon with a castle in the background on a nice sunny day while she has a drink of her favourite beverage and reads her favourite book, then it won't cost you any extra. You just pay the starting price depending on how many people will be included in the picture.
All portraits are drawn digitally, in full colour, to fit an A3 size canvas at 300dpi. Canvas size 297mm x 420mm. The starting prices as stated are for a digital image only. See the Print Options tab for printing and postage costs if you'd like a hard copy supplied of your portrait.
Digital Copy:The starting price by itself will get you a link to a downloadable and printable digital copy of your completed drawing, sent to the email or Facebook Messenger address of your choice. If you require a hard copy then printing and postage costs will need to be added. See the Print Options tab for further details on hard copy prices.
Details concerning your digital copy are as follows:
- Delivered electronically to the email or Facebook Messenger address of your choice as a link to a downloadable and printable digital image.
- Ready to be printed by your preferred printing establishment.
- Printing and associated costs not included in the base price. You can sort out printing arrangements for yourself once you have the digital image, or see the Print Options tab for printing and postage costs if you'd like a hard copy supplied as well.
- Due to copyright laws some printing establishments won't print artworks without a letter of permission from the artist. An e-letter will be forwarded via email to you, on request if needed, to give you exclusive printing rights for the digital image. If you'd like someone else nominated for printing privileges let me know their name and address details and I'll include an e-letter for them as well.
To calculate the printing and postage costs for your drawing, choose a country from the pop-up list menu, then click the Calculate button. You will need to add these costs to the price of your digital drawing. Note, the printing and postage costs remain the same for both non-commercial and commercial/promotional artwork.

What you will need to supply:In order for me to be able to give you a good quality caricature, I'll need some good quality photos of the people that you want me to draw. Digital images are preferred over hard copies as they can be sent via email or Facebook Messenger. If you send physical photo prints instead of email, then include a stamped self address envelope if you need the photos returned after I've finished with them. Small thumbnail photos or digital photos reduced in size to make them easier to send via email are not suitable as the details of the faces will be reduced. If you have any ideas for a theme that will suit the subject, let me know. If you're unsure, think about what their hobbies are or what some of their favourite interests might be. It's your drawing, you're paying for it, so you have the final say on what you'd like it to look like.
Cancelling your order:If you cancel your order after payment has been received then you will get a percentage of your money refunded depending on how much of the drawing has been completed. You will not be entitled to any further copies of the drawing, either digitally or in print unless you pay back the refunded amount in full. There are no refunds at all once the drawing has been completed. If you paid for a hard copy and decide you'd rather just have the digital image, you may cancel the print request and get a refund for the printing and postage costs providing the finished image hasn't already been sent for printing.
